IMO, not completely, depending on their amount or level of concisenesses http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/8-Circuit_Model_of_Consciousness, it would be too cruel to kill an animal, if painlessly or not. and the method in which you slaughter sheep is a slow one, and thus brutal, not like the quick way the butchers and modern farmers do it, if they behead a cow, it usually happens so fast that the cow does not have enough time to feel any pain.

Well if you think that shoving a metal rod through the animals head is humane then thats your opinion. I dont think its because its quick for the animal, its mostly quick for the farmer.

IMO we do it the right way.
We feed the animal a little water just before, 3 motions through the 3 main veins. Nothing wrong with that.

The animal's brain takes time before it feels pain if it is done that way, so the animal dies before it feels pain. Which is much more humane than leaving the animal to slowly bleed to death. Much action has been taken against this ritualistic way of killing animals, and it is made illegal in many countries.

LOL Dude , From the begining of time we have been slaughtering animals they are a resource a means of food we depend on them for food . LOL so you are trying to force your vegeterian lifestyle on the rest of us ? and the you can't compare people's past morality to prove that something is ok, this is not progression, it was harsh back then too, but we are living in the present, were their are better alternatives, which some people irrationally don't want to take, this is where the problem lies.
