dead space......help!

Hello everyone...

i am obviously new to this forum but was wondering if someone could help me...

i am playing a pc game called dead space and i am hopelessly stuck!!!

(the following will only make sennse if you have played the game)

i am on level 5...just before you need to go into that room where all the doors lock and like tons of bad guys come out to get you...where you have to kill enough and stay alive til kendra can open one of the doors for you to escape...

the prob is that i am out of ammo and dont have enough to survive long enough in that room...and dont have enough credits either!!! i cant reload older save games as i saved them to close together so it does not really help...

now the question...does anyone know how i can restart level 5? without restarting the whole game!...or... i know this would be a wierd request...but if anyone is close to that level...could i borrow your save game file so i can get through that part(I dont know if that is even possible:-)...)...

i have shamefully tried looking for cheats but they only work with a XBOX console plugged into the pc...i tried editing my save game file but it is all in gibberish....

if anyone could help it would be awesome....

this is such a weird request i know but i am desperate:-(

ps...i posted this thread in another forum so if you see it there i am sorry! but i am desperate...
 
Well I read around and it seems u have to backtrack and find some barrels and start shooting off limbs. Or sell some meds or what not. There is no cheats that I can find and I don't trust the trainers, hope that helps a lil.
 
thanks alot CrzWaco....it does...gonna try tomorrow...to dark and thundery to play now...the game is creeppy enough!!!

btw...the game is awesome...just not when you screw up like me:-)
 
A trainer is a program written by someone that edits your savegame file (aka cheating). Alot of them contains keyloggers/trojan's etc which is why he said he doesnt trust them.
 
I would suggest restarting the game, it goes a lot quicker the 2nd time round once you know what you need to do :)

EDIT: Just a tip, I found just upgrading your standard Plasma Cutter works a lot better than buying new weapons the whole time. ;)
 
so do you think sticking to one or 2 weapons is the answer?...maybe i could sell the others to get more ammo....
 
hey guys...

it worked!!!!...just kept my eye on the regenerator and kept on freezing it with stasis...then delt with the others using the slicer gun...worked like a charm!!...had to sell my contact beam and force gun though to get enough ammo but it worked well:-)
 
Good to know :)

In my play through of DeadSpace I had 2 weapons through out the entire game, 1 being the plasma cutter, and the other that machine gun one (forgot name) and I just upgraded them, they really become very deadly if upgraded correctly ;)
