We have a Mecer ME 2000 UPS, at work, opened the office and the items connected to the UPS where all powered off.

Checked UPS, it was off, press the ON button lcd screen comes up 0 voltage in, 0 voltage out, then switches off.

Figure we will have to buy another UPS, unless there is some hope for the unit.

Did someone bother the check why it says 0 voltage in?

Tried bypassing the UPS, and realised there was no power on the line, cannot find a reason why, yet. So was a bit hasty thinking the UPS had gone bye-bye.

Seems all well to the local DB board, might have to get a Sparky out to check why.

Going to see if I can scrounge a extension lead somewhere, for now. :( :(

Okay, got an extention lead, and got power from across the passage, all is well.

Guess a bit jittery, with all the load shedding.

Thanks, just going to tape the lead to the floor for now, don't want anyone tripping over it.

if you're just going to toss it, throw it my way; I would like to try fixing it and adding how to do that to repair.wiki :)

Now in the good old days you would get a nice fat bonus and your picture would adorn the walls for being such a problem solver, those were the days....

Well for now it is okay, - batteries are probably not great, and need replacement. ( if you ask me ) does not last as long as it should, but long enough to shut everything down, so Boss is still happy.

I figure an ounce of prevention, is better than a pound of cure, but not my call.

Well, I need to work, and I don't need to fill out "injured on duty forms" - from experience, definitely something to be avoided.

Have you heard about this thing called "load shedding" yet?

Yeah, if it was load shedding, I would not have been able to get power from across the passage.

Some one farked something on a remote DB board in the building, killed a few lines.

Sparky found and fixed it, so back to normal.
