Halfway through Tuesday and received no communication or delivery.

Guess I'll be cancelling soon.

Got a call today from Vodacom that they cancelled my upgrade again because of system error - and I must do it again.

Took me a helluva long time on hold to get through to cancellation - then they want to know why I'm cancelling  They said yes they could see the cancellation of the upgrades, but if they give me their word it won't happen again will I try again.... yeh...sure... because the person last week didn't give me their word already.

I have subsequently cancelled the contract, and converted to prepaid. (which apparently will only happen if I turn my phone of for 24 hours on the 31st - and then reload with airtime immediately when I turn it on :wtf:)

And then you can only port to another network in 90 days isn't it as changing from contract to prepaid counts as a port?

Just be warned, that it might just happen halfway through a call on a date you are not expecting...

I cancelled my VC contract about 3 years ago, and converted to prepaid. I had about 300 minutes remaining and half way through a call on the day before the end of the month it just cut me off... no warning or anything and i had to go get airtime to continue the call.

Probably going to leave this number prepaid with them - and get a Dual Sim phone. I like the coverage, but the service has turned to ****.

Thanks - I've got about R600 on the account - gonna convert it to data and blow through it.

Tweet them, or facebook - they respond horrifically fast using one of those methods.
