Dear Rain

Problem is where I stay there is no fibre not even 5G , or I would have told rain to get lost already , and all I see is ads for rain 5G what the hell for when you do not have 5g where i STAY ??? Maybe spend less money on ads and more money on improving your towers I say

I'm in a rental at the moment. After 4 months in lockdown and many delays, the plans for my new place have been approved at last, now one more approval at the NHBRC before they can start building. So - to kill time, I visited Afrihost's website and saw that Frogfoot is now live here where i live,

So I have two choices:

1. Stay on Rain ( or Drought if you ask me ) for another 6 months while i wait for my new place to be finished.
2. Get fibre on Frogfoot for approx 6 months max and cancel Rain

I know what the obvious choice is, but, where I'm going is just outside town, and there is no fibre either. So do i put myself through being on Fibre again just to go back to LTE in a few months time ( mind you this time it will be on MTN ) or do i save some money for now, an just plod along on this crippled infrastructure.

Thank GOODNESS i can roughly get about 10Mbps very late at night when the neighbourhood goes to sleep, and also very early in the morning before they all wake up again. Reminds me of of going camping - if you don't go very late or very early - chances are you won't get an empty shower cubicle...

Anyway, thanks for reading my story. ;-)

Had enough now - my vaseline is finished. I just cancelled this piece of cr@p. I'm going back to fibre - even if just for a few months. I can't struggle with this poor excuse of an internet connection anymore.

And NO - don't ask me to PM you @rain_mobile , I am DONE ! KLAAR ! IGQITYWE TU !!

My Rain connection at home has also been abysmal. But all of a sudden on Saturday it started working perfectly. Downloads consistently of 10Mbps, if not slightly more, as advertised.

I'm hoping it's here to stay and not a flash flood before the drought returns

Because 1 August... Bet lots of people cancelled... Network is all yours.

I suspect as much, awfully suspicious that it begins working on the 1st. Still plan to cancel as soon as the fibre comes operational but if the Rain can stay working for the next 3/4 months until then, that would be great
