How do your ones behave around humans? The ones at Kruger are usually very timid..

When I was a kid growing up here, The Jackals would come into our yard when we braai'd for meat, some people over the years even semi domesticated them, but you are indeed right, they usually timid, shy and placid creatures.... nervous scavengers at the best of times.... Every few years there might be a rabies outbreak, that's a different tale, then they become mad and foam at the foam.... I have never seen aggressive jackals in over four decades here...

I have a feeling that he was probably dead by the time the Jackals found him.... either a random heart attack or altercation with someone.

I also agree with this statement, shoddy police work and medical examiners.... It will come out eventually, but I reckon this guy was moered with a rock or something then left to bleed out, then the Jackals came and did what they would do with any dead thing......

I have Security Camera's on the outside of the building facing various area's around the store. One of them faces in the direction of where the body was found. A mere 300m from my back receiving gates.

Needless to say the local law enforcement turned up at the store yesterday wanting to look at footage, but there was not much we could see.....

/Moose busy ordering new camera's and a DVR to add to the existing 108 camera's he already has!
