Hi all,

When I apply online for MyWireless package.
At the bottom of the page, I don't see Savings Account option to be used for debit order.
There were only Credit Card, Cheque and Transmission... and Other.
Must I use Other and give details about my savings account or don't they accept Savings Account debit orders..??

Thanks, g nite all!!

AFAIK Savings account isn't going to do the trick...

Do you have a credit card ? if so let it go off there... If you don't have one of those either they will more than likely fail you on the credit worthiness check - they want to make sure you LOVE debt and pay it ;-)

They should allow you to use a savings account - some people only use savings because they don't like credit cards.

Try filling in "other", if it doesn't work then phone them.

Donovan, are you perhaps one of the tech guys working for Sentech (or contracted by Sentech) or do I have my Donovans mixed up? [:I]

Reason why they dont do savings accounts, is because a savings account at a bank does not accumulate a credit history, so they cannot check your credit history.

Choc

yup, the savings account dont have a rating given by the bank (which they need)

the rating's are usually something like "SC" or whatever, forget.

Anyway, you could change your debit order details afterwards, just fax them through a copy of your current account, to what you want to change to, and your first born's DNA samples and you're set

Why do you have to "put your two cents in"... but it's only a "penny for your thoughts"? Where's that extra penny going to?

Erm, I did on savings account and had no problem.

They get the ratings by phoning some peopel they know.

Well, I had a savings account for years, and some recruitment companies did a credit check on me. Nada, nilch, zilch, my name didn't even show up on their database.

They said it was because I had a savings account, and a savings account dosent accumulate a credit history

*shrug*

Look a Savings account doesnt accumalate credit history.
Specially if you pay everything on time (like debit orders)

A credit card does acumalate history. Usually you need credit first to have a credit history.

BUT, what I am saying is, that the debit order can go off your Savings account. Were not talking about credit checks. In this case my debit order goes off my savings account. That is the answer to the question... The credit check has nothing to do with it really.

But yeah, for credit checks, you need to have credit to have a credit record. You dont get credit on your savings, unless you really screwed up. But I dont think that has anything to do with this ;)
