Debt Collection Agency

How do you check someone status on DHA site?

On the homepage, there is an option 'check marital status'. Click on it, then enter the person's ID number and their status shows up: Married, divorced, or single. Not sure if widow/er would also reflect ?

I see it now thanks. BTW I have a similar problem to you and the barstard also has no apparent assets etc. Really frustrating.

Although I feel morally obliged to pay my own debt, sometimes it just seems so unfair that other people can get away with not paying.

Then again, they are probably constantly looking over their shoulder for their creditors to show up.

This person that owes us money has changed his telephone number numerous times and when I encounter his parents (they have a restaurant close to our house) they cannot even look me in the eye.

I would not want to live like that.

If you still need help tracing someone, let me know. I'll see what I can do for you.

Good News Update:

The Section 65 notice was served on the little **** .... he then chose not to show up for the court proceedings - how stupid can you get??

My attorney has now drafted a warrant for his arrest and handed it over to the sherrif.

I can't wait :)

Warrant for arrest on bad debt?

Is this for the same debtor you had an issue with two years ago? IIRC the invoice amount was for a similar amount. I think that was a business associate who you knew though.

EDIT: apologies for not checking the original post date - yes, same issue...

Long story .... got a judgement against him ... sherrif could not get any assets to attach .... we then tried getting a garnishee order for his employer to deduct monthly payment from his salary .... he left 3 subsequent jobs each time the docs were served .... we then had him served with a section 65 notice to appear in court .... he did not show up .... therefore he is now in contempt of court and will be arrested.

I do not give up easily ;)

Yip ... but it is not an associate of ours.

Oh, you had another thread some time ago asking for advice getting a similar amount from a business associate who was an extremely slow payer and did not answer calls when invoice-time came along. Sounds to me like you need to beef up your debtors department. Increase your 30-days = major increase of cash flow and balance sheet...

I am the debtors department :D

(I think) we've solved that problem. We are now the lead consultants for all the clients where we work in consortiums, so I can follow up on payment directly.

Good people,

I need a debt collecting agency to assist me. Has any of you ever used such an agency with success?

I have a judgement (for debt) against someone and need to enforce it. It is supposed to be easy to do, since the court has already found in our favour and all that is needed, is to trace the debtor and have the sherrif serve him with a Section 65 notice.

Thanks :)

Our company use KreditInteract Pty Ltd to do our collections. They work on a contigency basis (no win, no fee). So far they haven't done a bad job.

Sorry ... maybe you did not follow the thread and read my most recent update .... don't need the debt collection agency anymore .... have a warrant for arrest for the little jerk.

i'm a registered collector just finding it hard to understand why you are struggling so bad
to get a sec 65 executed.and whomever told you they can have him arrested for bad debt......... well.He can be arrested by means of warrant for not attending court which is usually done by court. seems to me you need a more extreme approach to your problem.

Maybe you misunderstood.

The warrant for arrest is NOT for bad debt, it is for contempt of court, because he did not attend the section 65 proceedings.

I have a judgment against him for the bad debt.
