Debt Collector Harassing me.

I have a debt collecting firm that won't stop harassing me. They are saying I owe money to Wesbank for car finance. I have never had car finance in my life. I have asked them to send me the details on numerous occasions but they never do. If someone took out a loan using my details I want it investigated. They just ignore my request and keep calling, emailing and texting me saying I have 72 hours/ 42 hours/96 hours etc etc. This has been going on for almost 2 years now.

Am I in my rights to lay charges of harassment and/or extortion against these w@nkers?
 
Name and shame here, we can take some community action against them :D

Could try contacting them and reporting the behaviour.
 
I'd go in a see them and find out what documentation they're collecting on. Could be something as stupid as someone with the same or similar name. Some of the info these companies work with is dodgy to say the least. Some data capturers are dangerously inept.
 
If they haven't done anything about it in 2 years, then I'm guessing they can't do anything about it.
But yeah, it would be good to get them off your back just to stop harassing you.
I live in Alberton - let me know if you want me to go in there and break some knee caps for you.

Pity they are up here and you down there.

I threatened a company that I will be coming to their Sandton offices immediately to sort out this issue of them phoning me on my number about some other ladies debt, they've been quiet since.

Long shot but when last have you updated your details on transunion? They obviously get the details from there and if like my issue, named me Trevor instead of who i really am, it needs some updating :).

If that fails, ask the guys here to pay them a visit :D.

Everything updated about two years ago actually!!

It's pure harassment ffs. They don't listen for schist! One guy still said, oh you don't own a car then?!? Nobody has NO vehicle finance!
I told him to fscking off and expect a visit from me! In both cars I own. W@nkers of note!
 
Have you checked the other 3 main credit bureaus for any car finance listings?

BTW, I'm serious about helping, I have the 28th off. Having to suffer calls from them for 2 years must be painful.
