Hi I am just needing some advice regarding my financial situation, we are under debt review and my husband has been unemployed for 3 years and I was unemployed for 4 months found a job but this month because we moved into our own place again had to pay R9000 for rent and deposit, so no money left for food or anything and while being unemployed we sold everything and have to start all over, do you think my bank will assist me if I go to them regarding my financial situation even though I'm under debt review. We are really in need of assistance and have no family to turn to. Your answers will be really appreciated.

AFIAK while you are under debt review you cannot apply for any financial services until you are declared "rehabilitated". So no, The bank will not help you.

If its food you need then I would suggest maybe contacting a local charity or church. When I was still religious the church I was involved in used to run a food bank for people who where struggling, and as a business we also support a local non religious charity that runs a food bank.

What area are you in? maybe I can point you in the right direction.

Good luck.

This.

Debt reviews strictly no more credit until you have cleared the debt you have, and gotten the listing removed.

^ This.
Your debt payments negotiated by your debt counsellor would have been calculated to leave you sufficient funds for living essentials. But the rent/deposit has changed your financial position, so you should also contact your debt councillor for advice on the best way forward.

Hope you get some relief from the above suggested organisations meanwhile.
Good luck.
