Decent 7800GT/X Brand?

Interested in Persons 7800 GT/X's....However there are a few brands...which is a decent 7800 GTX to go for? Asus? Chaintech etc?

Looking for a monster...that is in budget....Around R4000

How are these vs 7900's?
 
yeah any 7800 will be a waste now, they are slower and more expensive than any 7900.The 7900GT is rated faster than a 256 7800GTX! and like one thousand Rand less. The 7900's are also far smaller with better cooling and power consumption. You WILL struggle to find one though, they are as scarce as hens teeth. Person might have one or two, if you do get one from person, organise your own courier please, his is absolutely useless.

As far as brands go : asus,gigabyte,gainward,eVGA, BFG all very decent. Legend seem to be quite nice also as they are referance cards so they are dirt cheap also
 
Try and get a BFG 7900GT off Person. Comes pre-overclocked with a nice bundle and you can overclock it further quite easily!

The XFX XXX 7900GT (560 Mhz!) Asus , and BFG looking best so far!

Awe why not the faster betterer card? :confused:

Gigabytes fine but Overpriced IMO. Then again I am seriously considering a Legend card as my next one. No games I never play anyway and way lower price.
 
Would a 7900GT be better than my XFX 6800 GS Extreme XXX Edition(whew) ? (at 500 mhz)

Want to sell my GS then just get 7900GT
 
Any 7900 will do really. Thy are all the same save or the bundles.
You could take my 7800GT for R2K if you want :P :)
It's clocked at 490/ 1.2GHz and overclocks to 525MHz/ 1.28GHz

But 79GT would be great!

ROFL :D Well Gainward is mine but I have cheated and feel horible for it :(
 
neh kidding. I have had many gigabyte MB's and GFx cards, never givin a seconds trouble.

I dont really mind what brand as long as its decent
