Hi Guys.

I'm looking to buy a nice good quality Keyboard and Mouse set.
I currently have a Microsoft Wireless Laser Desktop 6000 ... but it's starting to give out ... sometimes misses out keys when I hold shift ... and the mouse has always been a little "jumpy" ... that and also the fact that if they keyboard is half a meter away from the desk, it barely picks up.

I'm currently looking at the Logitech Cordless Desktop MX5500 Revolution set which is bluetooth and can be used I'm guessing up to 10m away ... but it's quite pricey, and I don't particularly like the extra scroll wheel on the left of the mouse ... I find it uncomfortable ... but I can't seem to find another decent bluetooth desktop set.

I don't have to have bluetooth, but the set must be able to work from at least 5 metres away.

Any other idea's?

Would love the Logitech MX Air and a decent wireless keyboard to go with it ... but that'll prob work out even more expensive :P

Regards

Itai

Personally neva bought a wireless keyboard (neva had a reason) but bought the sidewinder x8 mouse and man is it awesome!! It works from over 10 meters away through walls even (only relevant if you could see through walls.) but still!!!

Well if I get a separate wireless mouse ... need a keyboard ... any decent idea's on keyboards?

Sitting with the same problem, used ir for the past 4 years and they tend to die sooner than blue tooth jobs ?

Ir ... infrared? Mine lasted about 3 years ... it still works, just not to my standard ... will give it to my mom. Must admit though ... I'll miss the comfort of the Microsoft keyboard ... haven't found any others as comfortable ... but their wireless is pathetic.

Looks like the only equivalent would be a bluetooth mouse and a Dinovo bluetooth keyboard (not the mini) ... and would end up costing more :(

Well this works from ±5m away. Made well and feels good.

±R410 Logitech 920-001636 Cordless Desktop MK300 ( cordless kb+ 1200dpi mouse ) , enhanced function keys + 13 hot keys , black - usb

We really need to know your budget though. ;)

Is there anything a bit nicer looking then this current unit. Very good price i must admit
Would be nice if it looks closer to the MX5500

This 2nd one does not look bad at all. I would prefer that one actually. Where can i get it the cheapest. It looks closer to the MX5500

I got a Lexma (dirt cheap), 2.4gHz Wireless Set, works fine for me, have two of them (one I use on my HTPC)

The Wave is awesome..

I've been using one for ages, and will more than likely be buying one for work shortly.

Damn ... the S520 looks nice, but looks like it'll be uncomfortable :(

This is the problem, there is no decent wireless keyboard & mouse set unless you pay to hell for it
