Maybe the time has come to decide on things.

Afrihost still have 10Gb for R517 (and Axxess more or less the same but with data rollover up to 3 months) - BUT this is month to month :

CellC chucked in their offers (valid until 29th Feb 2019) :

The only drawback - it is a 24-month contract.

Meh. I hate this sort of thing.

So you effectively get 6 times the data for R20 less, but its a 24 month contract?

Seems like its a no-brainer to me really at that sort of price differential.

I honestly don't see the price shifting significantly enough in the next 24 months to bring month to month deals from places like Afrihost close to even vaguely managing to match that CellC offer.

BTW - I'm loyal to my wallet. If I can save a few Rands, then I'll do so.

Brand loyalty no longer matters in this tough economic climate.

Brand loyalty never matters anymore..... economic climate or not....

But find the data/price point that works for you the best... just make sure what the top-up prices etc are with that CellC offer before jumping just so you have all the info.

Hmmm...

10gb anytime data with afrihost costs me R367 (R267 for a 5GB + R100 to double data with AH+).
10gb with cellc costs R139 (excluding night data which I don't ever use)

That's a really good deal.
I'm loathe to sign a contract but AH have done very little in last few years with their mobile pricing and I'm topping up at least once a month now.

Juss it's a pain trying to find **** on their website.
dafuq.

@Cell_C - kindly can you confirm on the following :

1. LTE status of the above SIM's
2. Data rollover (if any)
3. Is OOB blocked?
4. Can an existing data SIM number be ported?
5. Pricing of topup/booster data bundles

Thanks!

Telkom mobile SmartBroadband LTE - R449 for 40gb anytime and 40gb night surfer for R449? Each bundle expires after 60 days so it might be worth looking at larger bundles, ie their 100gb for R779 or 200gb for R1049.

CellC beats that with 60Gb for R299 (30Gb day/night) :p:X3: or 120Gb for R499 (60Gb day 60Gb night)

Yeah, but it's CellC and 30/30gb and you're stuck with them for 24 months.

How much will they charge you for rollover?

I don't need a mongo data bundle. The 10Gb (5Gb/5Gb) deal will suit me just fine.

On Axxess I have the 4Gb data bundle (with rollover to 3 months) , but tend to use around 3Gb to 3.5Gb, which leaves me with something to burn.
