I recently purchased an internet radio. This is a dedicated radio that connects to the internet via a local home network then onto the internet and allows for streaming radio stations. The setup is restricted to predefined stations it seems to be. Most European stations are listed and some in South Africa for eg. Jakaranda Radio from Pretoria is also listed and works. At the beginning of last year there were more stations and in particular for eg. Capetalk from Cape Town. This has now disappeared off the list when scanning for stations but is still listed on the radio. When attempting to access it, it times out with a "server not found" message. I'm curious as to how streaming on an Internet radio works as opposed to streaming via a web browser and how to remedy it. I initially thought they're the same but clearly they are not. Has anyone experienced this issue?
