Hi

Wondering if anyone could shed some light here please.

I have previously connected a 12v Deep Cycle battery to a Pinnacle UPS( 1kva) the UPS had previously 2 x 12V batteries connected in parallel, ( positive to positive and negative to negative).

Now my dilemma is this.. I have another 1KVA UPS which this time has the 2 existing batteries connected in series( 2x 12V = 24V)

Does this mean that I have to now uses 2 x 12v deep cycle batteries and connect them in series as well ? or can use only the 1 x 12 v deep cycle battery ? Would this damamge the battery .

Any help would be appreciated... im crap scared to just connect and blow up something.

Thanks

Ed

If the other inverter had them connected in series, it means it is a 24V system... You would then need to use minimum of 2 batteries else the inverter will be undervolted

Could OP use 1 deep cycle and 1 normal 7ah ups battery just to push the voltage up? Or would the 7ah drain too fast and result on low voltage to the ups rendering the deep cycle useless?

Zuner.. From what ive read up, they advise to use 2 of thd same batteries
