What the bloody hell is going on - i phone vodacom customer care on 082 111 and only get some black language? HUH?

My girlfriend's phone was stolen tonight, and there IS NOT A SINGLE NUMBER I CAN CALL TO CANCEL IT! Just a load of xhosa **** that I don't understand????? So vodacom now does not cater for anybody but the xhosa people??

Aaah held on pressed random buttons, then finally reached somebody who understands english, only to tell me that I have selected this as the default language, which i obviously did not. Apparently you get a language assigned to your number?? (Even if you did not request it)

If you ever have the same problem, ask for a guy called 'Mike Williams' @ Belville callcenter. One of the most logical and straightforward call center persons I've ever met.

And the most important thing is, Mike GETS STUFF DONE. I mean IMMEDIATELY :)

Was on the phone for 43 mins talking to useless bloody people, spoke to Mike for 2 mins and problem solved. This guy is really going out of his way to help people.

Hey bud, why are you upset because of the 'African language thing'? You are in Africa right? There are less then a million Brits in SA. 49 million speak other languages :D Don't expect everybody als to learn your language. You better learn Xhosa :D Is a more logical thing to do.

I got the Xhosa thing when I called my Voicemail  WTF. Btw to the guy who commented about the millions that speak Xhosa blah blah I know a few choice Xhosa words that even if I could spell them I could not post on this forum.

The reality is THAT Xhosa and other local languages is not used outside of our borders so I do not see the sense in learning a language of a a few million when the language I speak is used by BILLIONS.

Less than a million Brits? I could agree, but is this your attempt to segregate the "Boer" (who kicked the Nazi Brits out of this country to begin with) as I'm pretty sure we're more than 1 million who speak Afrikaans and/or English.

'segregate' WTF :D I can assure you I am no Brit and certainly not African :D I only wanted to post a fact. No more no less. Of course, if given the choice between African and Brits, I will go with the later - any day. Honestly, look around you, even some Africans do chose the same as I do :D
