sentech modems
I'm having a small problem with a sentech modem that I never had with DSL.
Im attempting to connect to sentech using PPPoE from XP, this works fine, the connection is stable and pretty quick, and I can share it without a problem, all the other pc's on the network can see the connection and use it.
My problem however comes when I attempt to play a game like war3 online, I can join the lobby servers but Im unable to see, or host games and am unable to join games, I don't know if this is a modem issue or a PPPoE issue? I don't suppose that the sentech modem uses some sort of port filtering or other kind of connection control even though I'm using PPPoE?
Another twist is that I use my DSL router as a switch on my network simply for connectivity but it is between me and the wireless modem, would this be having an affect on the connection? The router would still be set to bridged as it was used for that on ADSL.
I don't suppose that anyone still has the manual or remembers the default settings for the wireless modems that sentech provided back when mywireless first start? Its an IPW thats all I can get off the labelling no model numbers. Any help would be most appreciated.
