Default RIM Handheld Communications Manager has stopped working

this in is my first post on my broadband
can somebody please help?

i update my desktop software last night and everytime i connect my bb the following message popup on my computer: Default RIM Handheld Communications Manager has stopped working.

then desktop program stop working.

Delete the programme and re-install it again from www.BlackBerry.com/desktop
