Defecting from Telkom

Fantastic! So not only will customers be dropping Telkom as soon as suitable options exist, their employees will be too.

And it won't be the incompetent ones. It sounds like the SNO will have their pick of Telkom ex employees. The best ones will be lured across with attractive packages, the morons will be left behind.

Let's just hope there are no restraint of trade clauses that prevent them from moving directly to the competition.
 
Such is life in a free market. The best will move on and the dross will remain. I predict that customers will do the same due to years of arrogance and neglect.
 
Those are definitly not isolated cases. The first person to come "install" my dsl line was even more anti-telkom than me (even tho i ended up doing most of the installation myself, he was a nice chap) When I moved and had my line moved as well (it arrived 5 weeks, 4 days and 21 hours after me) The guy installing it must really really hate telkom. Went on about their crappy equipment, crappy this, crappy that and that he wish they would start the SNO so that he can "bugger off and work for them"

Seems to me that only management are going to be left at telkom in the end. Would be funny to see papi and lulu trying to install lines or deal with PO'ed customers then

OMW!!! That is sooo true Paw-Paw Steve White and the rest of the brains trust , will be sitting there thinking WTF ???? How did it all go so wrong ??? Then they will have to make press statements all the time saying it was unfair , how could the people leave ? They fired the people they did not want , and held onto their elite work force , and when they leave , telkom will first look on the bright side and say great now we can make even more profit w000000t , but wait we only have 5 people left , steve you speak the biggest load of crap around , you man the phone lines for our remaining 1000 clients , the rest come with me we have 4000 adsl lines to install . "The horde of three rush off with paw-paw to get their adsl install targets done "

It is easier for the SNO to go and hire experienced people even though it will cost more , than to try and train new people espcially top managment . Can you imagine how many ideas these people have on how to increase market share ? How many hours they have spent drawing up their cv's top hand to the SNO , the hours of boredom they have had thinking about how secure their jobs , how many hours they have had to think up ideas of how to telkom better , at a praticle level , but all for nought , as it all conflicts with the joke that is telkom .

But now they have a SNO to go to , same , maybe better pay , job security and the fact that you KNOW you are part of a winning team . Ever notice how when a ship sinks the rats run UPWARDS ? To try and get to the top ! Now take a look at telkoms managment team .... nuff said .
