The ROG Zephyrus G16 (2024 spec) does look incredible. But as expected, I can find no local availability of the models I'd want to buy.

Even with my 16" MBP, I'd consider a G16 if it had an RTX 4090 and 32GB memory, just for a mobile PC gaming station.

It's not price gouging, no matter how much you want it to be.

EDIT: price gouging involves a party dramatically increasing the price of a good or service in order to unfairly take advantage of a situation. Apple's pricing for their products just don't qualify, they're not important enough.

If we woke tomorrow, and all the other technology companies competing with Apple magically vanished, you still wouldn't be able to accusing them of price gouging until Apple raised their prices to take advantage of their new position.
