Usually takes a whole season for me to decide but yea, S01EP01 is promising.

Wish they would carry on with V :(

I've always wondered how to make sure a download has 5.1. Thanks. Will try web DL next episode.
 
Ok so I put this first ep off to the weekend.

To me Defiance was a mix of Eureka and Terra Nova. They have the new guy in town, which is helping out the sherif's department, and a tiny community. While Eureka was more sciency, Defiance is more war and trying to keep the peace. It still however has drama, lots of drama, which is where I bring in the Terra nova comparison.

Now, I still don't know whether I like or dislike Defiance, I hated the game to say the least where I had a free beta invite, thus never bought the game after the beta, but I ended up finish watching the first episode. Some series I can't get myself to watch the first episode, this one I kinda wanted to, and it was an hour ~15 minutes long.

Little bit lame at times in the story line, but what the heck its at least better than some other scifi shows out there.
 
I watched the pilot episode and really enjoyed it. Looking forward to more episodes!

Its sci-fi.... .not a reality show nfbs

Its kinda like warhammer meets the wild west and I really like where they are going with this. Also, I am desperate for scifi, so I am glad there is another show out.

I didn't say its awful. It has hot chicks, is action packed, has plenty of characters and fast moving.
That said I still think the story line and dialogue is ridiculous, it isn't suspenseful and is just junk food for the mind. To me it is on par with Terra Nova.

Just watched episode 2. It is one of the shows I will keep watching weekly as it has good entertainment value.

I wish they make a few episodes to conclude things when they ditch a series. Like Alphas, good season 2 ending and when I Googled I was so pissed off to see no more to come.
 
I enjoyed the pilot, wasn't ground breaking but at least we have another sci-fi show on tv even though it is not a space show.
 
1st episode was ok. But the in the 2nd episode it started going downhill for me. That husband and wife scheming bit, that's soap opera teritory? Don't think I'll be watching this for long.

The problem with revolution is that it's not scientific, you get electricity by shoving coal on one end and electricity comes out the other.

After 12 episodes I still can't follow what they are on about.
 
What we need is sci fi with the tension of The Walking Dead, the intrigue of Game of Thrones and sex/gore of Sparticus.



Nothing even comes close.

:D Could not agree more... hate it when they use a full episode just to try and show somebody's emotional struggle with the first zombie he/she killed......

You forgot the 10 episodes dedicated to the proverbial rebel who's madly in love with his best friends wife.

The thing is that is seems they write these things episode by episode with absolutely no idea of how they are going to explain things. They end up making schit up on the fly and it is a major fail in Revolution.

You clearly have never watched Battlestar Galactica. That would really disappoint you. The entire show is basically scheming.

Not the first seasons 25 odd years ago. I was an addict as a kid. Cylons, space battles,.. Damn it rocked. When they revived it I was over the moon - even as a bailie. OMF did they destroy it. Egoli in space. :eek:
