Is anyone else experience degraded signal off of the Olivedale and surrounding towers?

For the past 3 weeks our signal has gone from a consistent 5 bars to fluctuating between 2 and 4. At times we lose it completely.

Using a Desktop UTD with a roof antenna (iBurst sourced).

Hi there

Please do a visual test of the antenna to see if there is any external damage.

If you cannot find anything I will send one of my guys to find the issue.

Let me know.

Definitely no damage to the aerial that I can see. Have checked the cable as well and no kinks or breakages. What is the lifespan on these flat panel aerials? Have had it for about 3 odd years and really in no position to replace it at the moment.

Should be ok.

Mail me your contact detail and user name. I will arrange a techie to do a on site investigation.

Thanks

Hi RvMal

What was the outcome of your site visit?

He feels that I need to get a longer mast to install the antenna on so as to get better LOS to the tower.

Whilst this could possibly work, I do not understand how the signal could have degraded to the point that it has when it used to be semi-decent from where the antenna is installed at present.

In any event I will purchase a longer mast and re-install. Will advise if the signal strength increases once done.

Great

Cant wait to see the difference.

Could you perhaps get me before and after speed tests?

Thank you

You and me both. Last time I crawled, it was in the navy during basics and I much prefer high speed movements.

Will take tests this evening and then after re-installation and alignment. Hopefully it will resolve the issue.
