Is anyone else experiencing this.

the sounds is delayed so when someone is speaking the sound comes through a couple of split seconds later.

I phoned multichoice and they said that i should reset my decoder and that WILL fix the problem. Well after the 10th time that I did the reset Crap still the same problem.

Anyone else having this problem and what can I do?

I find it happens sometimes to me and I can only imagine it's some technical problem on their end where the syncing of the sound to the visuals is off by a fraction. How often is it happening?

Hmm...what decoder do you have? If its one of those oldder non responsive decoders then I'll blame it, but this is just me guessing really

yeah it is not on all channels, but does it a lot with mnet and SABC channels, experienced it a couple of times on national geographic wild as well. no the decoder is brand new, 3 months old so can't be that.

don't want to call them again because only solution from their side is to RESET!

If I can offer a dumb suggestion.

Have your installer recheck your installation because just maybe there is something mis-aligned to the satelite perhaps????

I am no expert but who knows it could be that the signal(s) are not picked up clearly or something.

i am also finding this a royal pain.. i have the HD pvr and the ONLY thing i watch on HD are the sporting events where you don't really need voice/video sync.. Sometimes also on m-net of the 103 channel... i have tinkered with the Delay function on the PVR itself in the menu, and also tried top delay the sound through my amp... i thought i was the optical cable being too "fast" and went back to the old trusty cables.. but it's Exactly the same... ggrrrrrrrrrrr reset my @s

Milano, to be honest, the sound synch is the ONLY problem i have with the HDPvr.... The abilitly to expand the HDD later will be nice, as with the internet connection function, but other than that.. i love the thing...:D:D:D:D

There are still other unresolved issues BUT the lip sync problem is MAJOR. If you are blind or deaf then I would highly recommend it :D

as far as i know it's got to do with how they relay the satellite feed.nothing more than a bit of technical incompetence in correcting the sometimes unsynchronised single received from the satellite.

Changing channels and then going back to the channel I was watching usually solves the problem.
