Deleted Documents **** up

I installed a program this morning, and not paying attention to what I was doing, I installed it so that it overwrote every single folder in My Documents. If there a quick way I can just recover all of that stuff? I've found a program called "Recover My Files" which has picked up all the files, but surely there's an easier way where I can find it and just put it back? It says all the files are stored under C:\[DIR0000####] but I can't access that folder..

Get a copy of ontrack easy recovery
it'll get the files back no problem

Trying OnTrack now.... isn't there a way to access these folders in the C drive manually though? So I can just copy and paste everything back?

ontrack should recover the files though

its saved me 100s of times

if the files on your drive have been over written (not the links) then it wont get them back, but if you havent copied much new content to your drive since then chances are you will get everything back

Try Handy Recovery 1.0 freeware - will take you a while to find the free version.

make sure you dont install anything new or anything cos it might just overwrite your deleted files......copy the deleted files to eg. a flash disk or ext hdd or another hdd then back to your computer if possible.......
