Hi guys....so I have switched over to Android (Kingrob....wipe that smirk off your face!) :p

I have a question though...it seems that everytime you compose a SMS, you have to set the "Delivery Report" everytime. I have checked in the settings, and you cant do it as a default request. Why? Am I missing something?

Open the standard messages app - where it shows your conversations - and then press the Menu key. Tap 'Settings', scroll down to 'Delivery Reports' under the 'SMS Settings' heading and ensure it's ticked.

I dont have it. I have Text messaging settings and then the options for that is "Notifications - Status Bar" - "Select Ringtone" and "Vibrate". There is no "Request Delivery Report" Option in there that I can tick. It is only available when I compose a message and I press options and then "Message Options" then it has only one option and that is "Delivery Report". :(

This is the reason I hate many manufacturers, it does not make any sence to remove something like sms report settings from your custom rom.

Lucky something Samsung and HTC normally do not suffer from

Something I have noticed is that gmail takes a while to get the emails to my phone. On Blackberry it was nearly instant...now it takes about 15 minutes. Odd. Not a train smash though. :-)

+1 for handcent.

Good to see another one bite the dust... :p
I'm using both desire and 9300 now. Desire usually a few seconds ahead of the bb but might just be cos of a faster connection (wifi at home).

oc, are you using the Gmail app? I've my gmail set up as an Exchange account with push - it's pretty damn-near instant.
