Yes and he doesn't have a HDD, he has an SSD which is by no means sluggish.. upgrading to NVMe won't make it any less sluggish, assuming of course that the SSD isn't faulty in some way..

Coming from a laptop that had a platter drive, I can attest to the fact that the difference between that and the SATA SSD is, well, profound.

If I ever got around to upgrading to an NVMe, it would be to squeeze every bit of performance out of this machine as I can get, and the existing one would not go amiss in my desktop either way.

In any case, since seeing the crazy RAM thing above, I feel there is something else afoot - I updated the driver, and now my RAM use is at 50% (instead of bloody 98%).

That said, I fiddled in the BIOS, and now my clocks-speed is locked at 1.6GHz. :ROFL:
