Dell Latitude D630 spares

Hi all,

I'm trying to find a local company where i may buy the right hand side screen hinge for my Dell D630 which has snapped in half. The rest of the laptop works fine. I've tried looking around on the Dell website to see if i may order one from them direct, but it doesn't look like they deal with the public directly.

Could anyone recommend someone in the KZN area or surrounding that might be able to assist me with this?

If you don't come right try www.netsurit.com they only have branches in CPT and JHB but since it's such a small part shipping won't be a lot.

Hmmm...if you ever find yourself in Joburg I could give you one. Have a written off D630 with a busted LCD but the hinges look ok.

www.universedirect.co.za - I have a D630 and have swopped out the LCD, keyboard, 3G, battery - all from Universe Direct. Largest Dell Refurbisher in Africa (if possible, ask for Marius in technical, not the sales guys. He would know if any of the hinges would be available). Side Note: UniverseDirect.co.za & Mico.co.za (ask for Lawrence) are both owned by one guy. Mico does the most of the behind the scenes work & Universe Direct the bulk of the retail action.
