Hi,

If I have a relatively new Dell notebook, which is still under the 3 year NBD support.

What happens if I want to swap out the hard drive for an SSD?

Is there a way to do it so that it doesn't invalidate the warranty/support from Dell?

Thanks

AFAIK you can open the hard drive bay from the bottom without voiding the warranty.

I wanted to install a mSATA SSD in my mom's Dell Latitude E6350, but for some reason that model does not support mSATA SSD's. With the mSATA SSD's you get to keep your existing HDD too.

HDD & RAM are usually user replaceable components that don't affect the warranty.

All you have to do is replace the SSD with the HDD if you want to send it back for warranty (if you are really paranoid about it) otherwise you shouldn't have to as stated above.
