my dad in law got one for him self and must admit it is a stunning laptop. it comes with vista buisness but will suggest that you get your hands on a copy of windows 7 and load it on there and then it will be a dam good laptop personally i think the only thing i think it is missing is a decent graphics card but if it is for varsity it will be a dam good choice.
there is nothing else missing in it. we got the one with 4350 mobility
Got one yesterday from pclaptops.co.za (7600 ex VAT). I looked around and that's the cheapest i could find it. They don't have it on their site, but respond to emails pretty quickly.
It's a fantastic machine. 15.6" wide screen, 250GB HDD, 2.1GHz processor. Comes with the 3 year next business day on-site warranty. I've used the next business day warranty on my inspiron more than once and the support really is good. You can call late on a thursday afternoon for example, and there will be someone at your door friday morning with the new parts.
The finishings on the 1555 are great too.
If i were replacing my lappy, i'd definitely go for it. My 2 cents
