Dell to focus on Data Centres with Fluid Data

Dell South Africa is focusing on providing for the next wave in data centre technology with its’ Fluid Data policy.

Dell ought to also reconsider their move away from the direct sales model in South Africa. Dell in my experience makes great products. I have always had Latitude and Desktops. They hardly ever gave me problems.

Anyone try to get a customised DELL product from a reseller? They don't stock all the variations and their prices are higher.

The hybrid system of resellers and direct sales (for corporates) merely creates an additional layer (of costs) between the end user and the manufacturer. The end result is a higher price to the consumer.

The direct sales model works—if it ain't broke don't fix it!

Please bring back direct sales via the web in SA!
