Dell U2515H screen flicker

Something weird happened with my GPU which crashed the driver, when the display came back there was a very bad flicker on it. This isn't from the GPU as even the on-screen menus were flickering and I plugged the DP cable out, the other screen connected to the PC (via DVI) is fine.

Over the past 30 minutes or so the flicker has diminished to a point where I cannot really notice it anymore but not really sure (maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me).

I'm a bit worried this is a fault on the monitor and it's only a week old. Not sure I could return it unless the flicker returns.

Anyone had something like this before and any ideas on what I should do?

Yes, sorry typo.

And I did find a few thread like that but those seem to be different symptoms. Though my monitor seems fine now.

Your power is not connected properly? One of the ends not making complete contact?

Seen something similar. Was the power cable to the monitor, some sort of grounding issue on the cable...

Thanks guys I'll replace the power cable, this is definitely a possible cause.
