Dell Venue 8 Pro

I have one, great tablet.

What do you want to do with it though as I use it because it runs full MS Office and it can run all the various VPN clients that our clients use.

I use it for emails and remote support when not at the office or home mainly.
 
Thanks. Sort of exactly what I'm looking to do with it too.

Will be using it as an ebook reader a lot too and, but just some basic connectivity, admin work (so having Office is a plus), and the odd VPN/RDP session here and there. Really just looking to not have to whip out the laptop everytime I need to do something.

How is the display? Obviously, nothign compared ot the iPad mini by any stretch of the imagination, but do you find it OK for longer periods of use?
 
I was looking at this and the Asus Vivotab Note.

I felt the stylus for the Asus made it the winner, and @ $199 on Amazon.com, it seemed like the better choice.

The display is good, I haven't seen an iPad mini display so can't compare it, the longest I've used it continuously is probably around 5 hours on a flight. I set the brightness manually as I find that on auto it tends to be too dark a lot of times
 
Great, thanks. I'm having our Dell reps bring me one to play with for a couple of days to decide.
 
Sorry to dig up an old thread but am considering one 2nd hand (apparently like new) @ R2.5k with a 64gb card. Work & media consumption. Worth it?
