Hey guys. I have been following the whole war on Islam in Denmark and has found it quite interesting. First a cartoon, now a movie and political leaders endorsing all of it.

Perhaps Denmark wants to be blasted back to the stone age?

Egypt 'monitoring attacks on Islam ahead of Dutch TV film'

CAIRO (AFP) -- Egypt deplored gratuitous attacks on Islam and said it was closely monitoring plans by a Dutch filmmaker to release an anti-Quran film.

“It is regrettable that European lawmakers and politicians use gratuitous methods to gain electoral votes by attacking the sacred values and religions of others,” foreign ministry spokesman Hossam Zaki said in a statement.

Dutch far-right deputy Geert Wilders has said he will be airing on television in the Netherlands in March an anti-Islam film.

Such politicians, Zaki said in reference to Wilders, “focus their hatred on Islam” and plan to broadcast a film undermining Islamic symbols.

These acts “feed hatred against Muslims and encourage extremism and confrontation instead of opting for dialogue based on mutual respect,” Zaki said.

Egypt is monitoring the situation “very closely,” he added.

This month Egypt banned the sale of four European newspapers for printing pictures deemed offensive to Islam and summoned the ambassador of Denmark, where the press published cartoons that have enraged the Muslim world.

At least 17 Danish newspapers republished a controversial cartoon earlier this month.

The cartoon was one of 12 drawings first published in September 2005 by the Danish Jyllands-Posten newspaper that sparked riots across the Islamic world.

I dislike Islam and Christianity equally... but see no point in provoking war.

Unless you haven't been keeping track Pakistan and Egypt have taken big steps in countering Denmark's onslaught on Islam and I promise you Iran and the rest of the Islam world is not to happy either. This is the type of cr4p that starts world wars buddy... would you like to strap on your boots and fight for Jesus? (keeping in mind that murdering sends you straight to hell, and suicide to Lucifer's satin sheets;))
 
Denmark looking for **** or exposing the truth?

Why don't those that take offense enlighten the world to the what they find untrue in the material being presented, or are they incapable of such civil behavior?

Seems this war has escaped everyone's notice. Perhaps there's a belligerent minority that would really like this fantasy to be real to justify what they are doing?

Its a pretty dull story - religious bigots complaining that others don't share their delusions...

Many protest that it's unfair to associate Islam with terrorist activities, but here we have a Muslim Cleric found guilty of preaching terrorism - does he or does he not represent Islam?

Preacher Guilty Over Terror Camps

Street preacher Mohammed Hamid has been found guilty of organising terrorist training camps and encouraging Muslims to murder non-believers.

The 50-year-old - who boasted of being "Osama bin London" - was convicted following the end of a four-month trial at Woolwich Crown Court.

Three of his followers, Kibley da Costa, 25, Mohammed Al-Figari, 45, and Kader Ahmed, 20, were found guilty of attending terror camps.

Two others, Mohammed Kyriacou, 19, and Yassin Mutegombwa, 23, admitted attending the camps, it can now be reported after restrictions were lifted.

The court heard Hamid led an al Qaeda-style terrorist cell and planned to send recruits to join camps in Afghanistan and East Africa.

We all know what this is about.

The world is becoming such a free environment for people to express views.

Religions are built on foundations so weak, that they cannon withstand freedom without Divine intervention. Fundamentalism and Oppression are the stopgaps.

Err you didn't know that the Bible is currently banned in Saudi Arabia as are any non-Islamic religious symbols?

If Denmark bans the Queran it will only equalise the things as they are now.

BTW the people who are fighting your War on Islam are not real Christians
either - mostly atheists and left wing Bolshevik wannabe's masquerading
as right wingers.

Religions are built on strong foundations. Arguing for religions non religiously and agnostically you'll realise there are strong theories that suggest that
religion is part of human psyche and we can't live without them. Political
cults are a variation of religions - you can be a big ANC or Democractic Party fanboy though you're 'agnostic/atheist' - humans become your gods,
except they tend to write their 'Bible' de novo and can turn it into
a work the likes which have come from Stalin, Hitler or Mao Tsetung.
A real libertarian would forego all politics and just try to live his
life to the best way he can - often religiously.

In fact its the religions which have survived thus far, while idealistic, atheistic experiments in sociology on a mass scale have failed. Pol Pot, Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, etc, where are they
(or their descendants)?

While I'm no religious extremist apologist, I will tell you that the idea
of freedom of speech - as say present in the US Constitution
orginated from God fearing people - God is mentioned in the US constitution
for example and the writers were all religious people. The idea
behind it is not to insult others for the sake of insulting them,
the idea is to promote dissemination of information to the
common man so that he can have control over his life. The idea
is also there to be able to criticise figures of authority and those
in power if they step out of bounds of civil and decent behaviour.
Speech is protected for those reasons, not to let you insult others
because you think it's cool to do so. While it may be OK for you
to do it, it is insulting to the men and women who fought and died
for you to have those freedoms and the people who introduced them
in the first place. Where I come from many of these people were
from the Clergy and most indiviuals were religious people, even in
Western Europe most people who fought against the Kaizer in WW1
and Hitler in WW2 were religious people. Looking back further,
as were the people who thought against the Turks and Mongols.
Saying nonsense like
you're saying actually insults them and their noble sacrifice.

Go fight for freedom in your own backyard and if you survive
make your own freedom there.
 
One reason, IMO, might be that Europe had been taking in a lot of refugees knowingly and otherwise for the past few decades. All of these refugees are starting to demand religious rights that are sometimes in conflict with local customs and laws.

Didn't Australia's minister (of something or other), tell Muslims to leave Australia if they aren't happy, and that they shouldn't make demands on religious grounds, when they knew Australia was a Christian country when they applied for refugee / citizenship?

Anyways, I had been reading a book about "Siener van Rensburg". He actually warned about racial conflict throughout Europe.

Western Europe was funded by colonies. Britain by its colonial empire,
France, Holland, Spain, Belgium and even Portugal - less so Germany,
were all built with $$$ from colonies. It follows that they will now
have lots of people from these colonies present on their territory.

The Australian is right. Muslim countries have strict Islamic laws with very little
tolerance for western customs and religion. Foreigners should have
to abide by local laws but should have the freedom to worship
as they see fit as long as this worship doesn't interfere with
other peoples' rights. So YES have your mosque but don't
wake me up with your music/prayers in the morning or
force me to change the way I behave in public or in my
own home. On your own property behave as you will
as long as its compatible with the law of the land.

Ethnic conflict, well the majority is still European caucasian so I don't think
real civil wars will follow but lots of unplesantness can result.

Maybe Denmark should show the world how enlightened they are and return all the money they stole from the Congo - with interest. While they are doing that they might want to devise a way to compensate people who had their limbs hacked off becaus they did not tap enough rubber that day.

So like Europeans with their selective amnesia, they think they are the best in the world because they refuse to remember the horrors they perpetrated and continue to perpetrate on the rest of humanity.
