So my wife showed me this little gem on her car yesterday. She has no idea how or when it happened.

Will it be expensive to fix? Can someone recommend a place in the Northern Suburbs (CPT) where I can get a quote for this?

This is on a Ford Figo

You can also get a quote from Scratch and Dent Express Express at Tygervalley, behind the Engen garage by the Car wash. 021 9142218

Took the car to one of the places mentioned and they said it will be between R3k and R4k seeing as they need to respray the front and back doors orherwise the front door will look different.

Does this seem normal to you guys?

Is it a white car?
Try dent express, they in parow. They did a nice job for me. At a good price.
If its Matelic paint they blend the other door. Some of the well known places will set u back about R3000 - R3500 if they repair and paint

No not white, silver.

It's normal.

Metallic and pearlescent paint needs blending on the adjacent pannels.

If it was white they could just spray the single pannel.

When the job is done, get the car in the sunlight check that you happy with the blending work.

Last question. Does she need a police case number to claim from insurance (outsurance).

She does not know what caused it so cant say to the police that it was an accident or do you still need to waste their time and report it?

There's no third party involved, so can't imagine a case number is needed.

Just make sure if your chosen panelbeater deals with Outsurance. Lots of them refuse to do so.

All these Dent Magic and other advertising express bodywork places paying high rents at shopping centres etc. tend to be overly expensive.

If you PM me, I'll find the contact for an independent chap in Paarden Eiland. Usually 1/3 the price of these other places, although I would have also guessed around R3k. Worth a shot, you can Whatsapp him a pic and he will quote.

The quote we got was R3500 and thats to repair the door, respray it and blend the back door. The nice thing about this place (auto detail centre) is very close to her work and they collect and drop the vehicle off.

But pm me the details of the place in paarden eiland, I can send them a photo and hear what they say.

Thanks
