so me being the retard that I am I reversed my 5 month old car into a tree last night

Dent is on the boot lid and is quite big but I get the impression it can be pushed out and because it was a soft wood tree there is no paint removed. Anyone have any suggestions for a place in Cape Town?

Thanks

:( Will try find a place in the morning.

Bleak.

Edit: what are my options here? the way I see it.
1. Call the dealership and ask for advice (they will probably want to replace the whole boot lid)
2. Dent doctor - PDR?

I would like to keep the insurers out of this for now unless this is going to cost me over R5k or so (I hope not)

First place says that can't be pushed out - something about double sheeted metal? and it is stretched.
New boot lid is going to cost R4300 minus mark up, paint, badges and labour. FK ME.

I assume the insurance is going to cover it?

If not I would get a second hand one from a scrapyard etc. Might even find one in the same colour.

I haven't called them yet, seeing if I can get it done myself cheaper.

The final quote from approved workshop is R10400 lmfao.

Yip - I'd imagine a new boot is in order - not something I'd want to get 'fixed'.

you can try Cape Panel Beaters - just make sure Brendan (ex. Manager) no longer works there - they said he was fired, but who knows - they were good before him, and good once he wasn't allowed near my car.
