Hi

Can anyone recommend a dentist in the Fourways/Bryanston/Sandton area that will not charge an arm and a leg?

Been to see a few and they seem to want to retire off one patient.

Root canal varied from R12000 to R8000 per dentist!
 
Wait what?
I had a root canal a couple of years ago and ^^ seems excessive.
I'd say that for a pricey dentist you shouldn't be paying more than R2500. Someone asked a while ago and I think the average quote then was about R1500 iirc.
 
Those dentists near Morningside Hospital, I went to see one, he said consult, x-ray and root canal, came close to R12000.

I got up and wanted to kick his nuts into his chest.
 
Nah that's ridiculous.
I went to the dentist the other day.
Full-face xray, R350.
Xray-in-mouth, R250.
My consult was like R350 iirc.
The root canal is simply deep-ass-drilling to remove the nerve, and then filling it up.
 
Scythe medi cross in randburg ( on malibongwe) there is a Indian doctor there (can't remember his name) he is great, and the medi cross there doesn't charge a arm and a leg

Unreal how expensive dentists are makes me want to go back to study to become one!
 
I am in 4ways and eventually went to other areas. Dr Aronson in Linksfield (opposite King David School) charged me R2K for root canal. Dr Solomon Perlow in Linden is cheaper and works sundays - he is also closer and worth the extra drive. I am told the guys in Market str up from Corner house are reasonable but I have no experience of them myself.
 
If with medical aid , that's the only dentist which didn't ask for any payment (with discovery) and was good
