Always been a big mode head, just got my hands on the newest album and it is excellent. Hard to believe these guys are still so good after 33 years.

Any other fans that gave it a listen? What do you think?
 
It's a lot better than Sounds of the Universe, that was a bit of a let down after Playing the Angel. Didn't like Exiciter much either...

But this - marvelous - can't stop listening.

I was not impressed with Sounds of the Universe either! Playing the Angel was epic though!
 
There are two or three tracks on Sounds of the Universe that are OK, but it was a bit too experimental for my liking. This new one just seems to get it right, feels more like Depeche Mode. If you want to "sample" it PM me.
 
Big DM fan here since time of Construction Time Again. Yep, Sounds of the Universe was not their best. I'll have to give the latest one a listen soon.
 
While the two singles from the album are good, nothing comes close to "Should be Higher" and "Secret to the End". If had to pick singles from the album those two would make the cut.
 
More than 7 years later - that post I made rings true. still.

Real Mode Heads will understand.
