Sup guys, i am thinking of getting the new ford fiesta, but can anyone tell me how are the ford car's depreciations in general (specifically the fiesta)?? And does anyone know if the monthly insurance for that car gonna be steep? Thanks all!!!

Ford's depreciation is usually very bad compared to other cars. Not sure about insurance thou.

But if you buy a car and don't end up selling it in the next couple of years it shouldn't be a problem.

Bought my wife a Fiesta 3 years ago, been a very good car. Insurance is very reasonable. Not sure about the trade in. I do know that if you trade it in on another Ford they give you a good deal. Ford can also normally be negotiated with for a discount.

depreciation of a car is based on the popularity of the car. fiesta apparrently has a good resell value as it is a car in demand for now. (also consider more and more people are going economical)

Be aware that the all new fiesta will be coming out next month or Dec... so that may change resell value on current models

The fiesta wont be very bad, especially the low end 1.4, 1.6 and the TDCIs will hold its value quite well. The more expensive Fords drop very fast like most manufacturers. Also since you asking now, the new Fiesta will help drop the value of the old fiesta.

yup, as long as a car is popular its trade in will be pretty good...

...i have a 05 fiesta, which i might trade in for the new shape fiesta early next year. but i guess due to economic state, most dealers will not offer you close to the trade-in book price

ps: my insurance is under r500 pm for full insurance, which i reckon is not too bad

pss: service pricing is not bad, but don't (unsure of your location) deal with porter motors kempton park!! grrrr

Thx for the inputs guys!! Check the prices on the new fiesta today, the only 3 door version they currently have is the titanium and that's a bit out of my budget :/ so i might just get a second hand Honda civic lxi :(
