Deregister VAT with SARS

I have recently gone from being a sole trader to opening a company.
I am now sitting with two VAT numbers.
Do I need to deregister the old sole prop one?

If you don’t , you’d need to still submit vat returns.

I’m sure you’ll need to first request for a tax clearance certificate before you dereg.
