Deregistering Blackberry from BIS

Hi,

I sold my blackberry. How do I deregister the device from the MTN BIS website so the new user can register the device under their own username/password etc?

Anyone know!?

I presume you have checked the BIS website. On the left pane there is a settings menu, under that you can change your device.

It looks though if you can only "change" your device. Maybe you need to call 1555 to find out if you can deregister your device there. 1555 is, unlike the rest of the MTN call centres, actually quite knowledgeable and you don't wait too long to be helped. Give it a try, they guided me through setting up BIS through the Blackberry Connect on my HTC Touch Pro.

I had another older BB handset and put my sim into that and registered to that one?

I am not moving to a new BB handset. MTN tells me that if I cancel my BIS service, it automatically cancels the Blackberry registration. Lets see if that happens.
