Anybody have a Desire Z? It's upgrade time and I'm looking to maybe get one - just wondering what the battery life is like.

Speedster, seems we all due for upgrades... waiting to see what HTC Sensation an Samsung does to the various packages and pricing etc rather wait @ 2 months.
 
Another dealer told me they only order HTC stock on special order,,,, is leaf's service that bad?
 
Is the DHD still in demand. Im getting one as an upgrade and since I already own one im looking to flog it for cheap.
 
I have a desire z. Code named vision actually . Most awesome device ever . My friends with blackberries are jealous. Very similar to iPhone 4... just better and with keyboard. Have my whole office linked on my phone.

Battery life about what you expect from a smartphone

The Touch Pro 2 had the best keyboard in the biz - this one is not bad but not in the same class

TBH, (and I am a diehard keyboard user) you don't really need the keyboard if you use a softkeyboard such as SwiftKey X - I never thought I'd say this but my next phone will probably not have a physical keyboard.

PS: Loaded XDAndroid Froyo Build FRX06 onto my 2 year old TP2 - slipped in my Voda Data Card and TaDa! portable Wifi Hotspot - now I can finally stop feeling sore about the unused data bundle on that card

Affraid not. When a device is discontinued then our orders for that device simply gets deleted. What I will do for you though is contact my Joburg stores and see if any of them perhaps have one for you. I doubt it though so dont get those hopes up.

That sucks. At least I got 2 of them already - after several months wait.

OP: If you can get one from somewhere, it is a good phone. I cannot compare with any other but mine works well. Battery life is anything from 1 to 3 days, depending on the use. I have found that the GPS gobbles up the battery fairly fast. But for the rest I am happy with it's battery life.
I have also never had a problem with apps that force close - even those with several people claiming the app force closes on other devices.
The full keyboard is worth it. I will struggle in 2 years odd time when I have to upgrade and they have no phones available with a full keyboard.

How will this affect the maintenance of my phone should I have to take it in for repairs?
 
I've got one... best phone I've ever had thus far (I've had a cellphone since 1996)...
