The Foschini Group (TFG) is looking to hire Desktop Configuration Support Analyst to join our Head Office Operations Team. The successful candidate will have a passion for End User technology and Desktop Application Support.

In this role, you would be responsible for deploying and packaging desktop applications using SMS/SCCM and provide 3rd level support (on-site and remote) to Head Office users.You would be expected to have experience within a Microsoft Server environment.This position requires attention to detail, enthusiasm, collaboration, creativity, and patience.
To qualify for this position you will need:
•Matric with A+, MCSE or a relevant IT diploma
•Knowledge and understanding of SMS/SCCM software deployment and packaging
•A deep understanding of desktop application support across multiple platforms (e.g. Oracle/SQL/.Net)
•Strong level of desktop OS knowledge and skills (Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows 8.1)
•PC hardware (diagnostic and troubleshooting) skills
•An understanding of a Microsoft server environment
•An understanding of Active Directory (User and Computers, GPO, DNS, DHCP) and SQL (SQL queries/ SQL reporting services) Administration
•Experience in application and user profiling
•Experience in image building / deployment of Windows Operating systems
•Experience in MS Windows operating systems, application as well as 3rd party application patch management
•Understanding of ITIL, incident and problem management best practices
•Scripting knowledge in VBScript and or Powershell
•An understanding of MS and other 3rd party application licensing management
•An understanding of VDI and Application virtualisation (Advantageous)
•A working knowledge of MS Office
•A customer service orientation
•Good communication and interpersonal skills
•Ability to work under pressure
•Ability to work in a team
•Good analytical skills and attention to detail
•Proven experience in a similar role (at least 3-5 years previous Desktop application deployment and packaging using SMS/SCCM)
