Anyone use Desktop mics?

I use one and then Skullcandy headphones. I have a 7.1 surround sound system just standing there I only use it when I watch movies not for gaming.

This caught my attention based on the other headset thread. I prefer the standing mic as it's place on the table out of sight and picks up sound awesomely. Actually I would say my mic is about 1000 times better than some of the people I play CS:GO with. And I assume they have headsets with mics. When my mic dies or gives issues I just replace it. If my headset dies or gives me issues I replace it. I don't have to replace both when one goes tits up :p

What's your flavour?

I use the mic on my SteelSeries and it seems to be doing the job well.

Looking for decent usb / usb mini mic to use with headset :D

I use a logitech usb desktop mic and 5.1 surround speakers. Don't like using headsets.

Don't you get feedback though when using TS and the likes?

This is the reason I use a headset, coupled with the benefits of hearing faint sounds in FPS games which are critical.

I comp CS:GO with these, the omni directional mic is good enough in my opinion picking up little to no noise. Then again, not many people like earphones.

I also have a cheap SoundMAX Superbeam mic as a desktop alternative, but it catches background noise. Currently budgeting to buy a proper open air headphone… Gaming headsets suck, expensive lesson learned.

Where can i find these Logitech USB Desktop mics. I have searching all over but no-one seems to have any. If there anyone that might have any, I am looking for about 20 of these mics.

Ok I am thinking of getting a desktop mic now as well.

I want to set it up for Cortana, Skype, Hangout and whatnot.
Can anyone recommend a good one that uses an audio jack as well instead of USB. I want to see if this Supreme FX ii sound card is worth its salt.
