There are a few things you don't skimp on and an SSD is one. You don't need a whole lot of storage for what the OP wants to use the PC for, but waiting for VS to start up is an unnecessary annoyance.

RAM is also important, VS chows it.
 
Elaborate on the RAM bit? Though VS was still 32bit and didn't go above 3gb of RAM usage..

Albeit.. Might be thinking of SQL.

VS and Eclipse both use a lot. I know people that still have 4GB at work. I'm not saying you need 16GB, just have a bit more than enough...

VS is heavy on memory and when you have 3 or 4 projects open at the same time you start to really feel it, add to that you have SQL Server running in the background. I'll start with 8GB and see how that goes for now.
 
Go straight to 32GB. What I did with my new box.
Actually went a little over the top on this build - but she is Oh sooooo sexy.

Just kidding on the 32GB. It's overkill unless you plan on ram drives or VM's or...
