Ok i am going to lay it all bare here:
I have been out of the IT industry for many years, and have been in various positions in the past. Unfortunately the market for my current non IT related job is running dry due to various red tape factors.
I find myself wanting to consider getting back into IT however:
Here is what i want and it is most likely not what most would expect, it's really simple:
I enjoy doing the basic stuff repeatedly, i don't want to "grow" into a networking or full on infrastructure adminastrator job, i don't like it, though i am approaching my 40s i still just enjoying doing the basics.
I want my job to be doing windows installations, pc problem troubleshooting, or just backups, building or configuring pc's. Perhaps assist a few users over the phone with their pc's. No networking. So basically firstline stuff and getting hands on on the installations of new pc's.
Even though way back i got mcse qualified, i forgot most everything since i never went into a full blown networking position as it was not my passion i just want to work with the pc's, no networking.
Where in the JHB area could there possibly be such an opportunity available to do the above, and possibly work in a more casual environment ?
for a salary between 8-12k with normal working hours ?
if anyone have any ideas or know of opportunities pls can you send me a pm ?
