With some of the components being discontinued, I had a look on the likes of Evetech, Wootware and Rebel Tech's websites and similar specced components would bring the amount to roughly R 65 000.

Why not, I generally only buy 2hnd, awesome way to save a significant chunk of money and I have yet to get burnt.
Op is a little optimistic in that regard but all things considered I would never not buy them just because they are 2hnd.

I'd recommend selling the components separately. anyone willing to pay 50k for a pc will buy a new pc.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll consider it if I don't find a buyer. And 50k is negotiable, as a matter of fact I would be very worried if a potential buyer isn't going to try and barter.
