So the short version is that I played WoW for 3 years + and then moved to a new flat with no Telkom infrastructure only fair iBurst coverage (tried them for 2 months and almost killed myself and others around me) no WiMax coverage no Vodacom HSDPA/WiMax coverage. Telkom application has been 11 months ongoing but has been closed several times because they dont want to bother digging hole and providing the complex with cables.

So anyone has any idea how else I can get a propper low latency connection at my house? Is there some company that can provide me with a connection to my house by some other obscure way?

All honesty I dont expect any valid replies but out of pure frusstration at our 3rd wold country what else can I do?

Sounds like you're screwed unless there's a WISP in your area?

Have you tried an external iBurst aerial for better reception?

Kinda what I thought. I tried the aerial but to be honest I'd rather not touch iBurst again. (if I have a choice in the matter)

where are you based?

if you are in the CPT area look @ www.amobia.com

i use them to play AoC on the EU servers and i get a ping of 200 -280ms on avrg.

and @ R89/gig its flipping cheap

I'm based in Pretoria. But I'll try to find out if they know of something similar over here.

I highly doubt that i am covered by Neotel although I have yet to see anyone comment on gaming with Neotel. The wireless option they offer did not look good latency wise although I do know that they have made some improvements.

Might hang on until they get an ethernet device regardless of the performance.

Thanx for the replies guys.
