Yeah was seriously considering that. Got my adapter off amazon for $76 - at the time R535. Just 3 week wait for delivery!
 
I'm in the same boat, torn between trying to source a wireless adapter, and just upgrading to the new console. And given I bought my new 'Box not 6 months before the slim with integrated wireless was released......
