Hi everyone,

Going to keep this short and sweet. If your interest and expertise are piqued, give me a shout and coffee is on us.

We are in the process of creating a new piece of software in the real estate technology sector.

To not give too much away we would need a Web App, Mobile App, and Databases created. Language at this point is flexible and would be open to suggestions from a developer.

Like all startups our budget is not endless. However, we are open to negotiation.Should a developer want to come on board as a technical partner with an equity shareholding, we would be open to having a chat.

We are based in Claremont in Cape Town so would prefer to work with someone local to the Cape Town area, however this is also open depending on expertise.

Send me a PM if you or anyone you know may be interested and lets have a chat.

Best,
Sean

Hi everyone,

Does anyone have a good reference for a dev in Cape Town? (Not for free, they will be paid) :)

The biggest issue I see is that you appear to be recruiting for a CT developer but remuneration (salary and benefits) is unclear re:
  • Like all startups our budget is not endless
  • want to come on board as a technical partner with an equity shareholding, we would be open to having a chat.
Surely you can appreciate this is big risk for any developer; sounds like you need someone on site; yet your posts could imply you're not yet willing to commit to a permanent position... naturally I could be wrong on all fronts. If that's the case then:
  • Advertise for a permanent position, covering skills, remuneration, etc.

If however you are still unsure, and are still in the process of proving a concept; then remote developers could very well be the way to get there.

What's the salary budget range? (if you don't have I've then you probably need to rethink)

R20k, R30k, R40k, R50k?

Co-Founder means shareholding not salary. If he has the industry background and contacts it could be a worthwhile risk and if it fails you can put it on your portfolio.

He is just asking for a chat. Let there be some serendipity in the world

Hi guys,

Thanks for the replies so far.

We are happy to pay an hourly rate for a freelance dev. However, should the dev feel they would like to be a part of the project for the long haul and he/she brings in significant value, we are happy to look at a shareholding of some sorts.

We have already had significant interest from numerous companies with both local and international portfolios all of whom would, when the system is developed jump over to our ship.

Sean

In theory yes. Mostly, I see teams working on Stickies, and then the PM updates the JIRA board afterwards..
Most of our teams just use JIRA. The stickies can be nice but it results in double the work which goes against agile.....reduce wastage
