I've been working as a junior web developer for a few months and would like to know what other junior web devs daily tasks are. I know job roles differ from each company, but I just want to compare my experience with other developers to find out what tools I need to learn to earn a better slary.

As a junior you want to maintain your stride with current web trends, even as a senior you should do this. The web world is changing so rapidly from day to day.

And I'd say "go beyond", which can be a bit dangerous, especially if you're in a "Microsoft world" where they try and push standards in which never makes it, thus dangerous to early adopt.

Daily tasks is more or less the same as a senior in my opinion, except less "think" work and more "grunt" work. However, you should try and contribute with ideas yourself, knock some seniors on their ass sometimes :p

Im curious what standard has not been adopted?

Joliet CD-ROM format extensions, MS-TNEF etc

There's also an XML standard they tried pushing that was rejected by the W3C. More or less the same time as XML started becoming more mainstream and around the time of .NET 1.1 (can't remember exactly)
